In-person District Workshops - Summer 2023

The first in-person district workshop took place on Tuesday, June 27 at McDaniel High School. Content at this workshop focused on the portion of 82nd Avenue that runs through the Cully, Sumner, Roseway, and Madison South neighborhoods.

PBOT, Metro, TriMet and community partners, are hosting in-person workshops this summer focused on different segments of 82nd Avenue. These workshops will dive deeper into the transportation issues and opportunities along 82nd Avenue. Participants will have the opportunity to circulate to a variety of stations and to learn more about ideas to improve the environment for walking, transit, biking, street trees, and safety in general along 82nd Avenue. Please drop in to the workshops to learn more and provide your input on project ideas for the Civic Corridor Investment Strategy. Translation services and refreshments will be provided.

ritical Fixes: Near-term safety and maintenance improvements

Project team wrapping up initial round of public engagement this summer

In the past six months, PBOT’s 82nd Avenue Critical Fixes project team has been reaching out to the 82nd Avenue community about upcoming construction along the corridor. So far, the team has given 11 presentations to community organizations, gathered feedback from 200+ respondents to an online survey, reached 200+ businesses during door-to-door canvassing and phone banking, met one-on-one with 30 property and business owners, and mailed thousands of postcards and letters. We are doing our best to get the word out and offer conversations to folks who want to learn more about the projects, but we know our work isn’t done!

We’re wrapping up our first round of engagement this summer, and we still want to hear from you.
