Program Overview
After making the most critical repairs, PBOT will invest $105 million in future investments for a better 82nd Avenue. Over the next two years, PBOT will conduct broad and inclusive community engagement and work directly with community-based organizations and agency partners to determine what the bureau should focus on for improving 82nd Avenue long-term. Funding will support:
Additional safety & maintenance projects
Project details will be determined through public planning process beginning in 2022.
Support for community & small businesses
Workforce opportunities, anti-displacement strategies and strategies to support residents, employees and business owners along 82nd Avenue.
Program Timeline
Project planning for Future Investments is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Projects will then move into the design phase from 2024 to 2026. Construction is expected to begin in 2026.
