Information
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is working with the community to develop a comprehensive plan for improvements along 82nd Avenue.
This image shows a map of traffic signal rebuilds and flashing beacon rebuilds along 82nd Avenue.

PBOT will invest about $15 million to upgrade nine traffic signals. By the end of 2026, signals and beacons will be rebuilt to include modern safety and traffic operation technology at the following locations:

  • NE Fremont Street
  • NE Siskiyou Street
  • NE Tillamook Street
  • NE Glisan Street(construction planned for 2025-2026)
  • NE Davis Street (construction planned for 2025-2026)
  • SE Woodward Street
  • SE Boise Street
  • SE Holgate Boulevard
  • SE Raymond Street

Today, about 45% of the traffic signals and flashing beacons along 82nd Avenue meet PBOT standards. After the nine signal rebuilds and three beacon rebuilds are complete, 80% of the traffic signals and flashing beacons along 82nd Avenue will meet our standards for safety, efficiency, and condition.

Bar graph for percent of traffic signals PBOT standards. Before shows 45 percent meeting standards and after shows 80 percent meeting standards.
