Overview
After making critical repairs, PBOT will invest $105 million in future investments for a better 82nd Avenue. Funding will support:
Additional safety & maintenance projectsThe Critical Fixes investments will address the most immediate infrastructure needs along 82nd Avenue but not all of them. PBOT will develop a list of additional safety and maintenance projects for 82nd Avenue through data analysis, City policy guidance, and a broad and inclusive public process beginning in 2022. | |

Over the next two years, PBOT will conduct broad and inclusive community engagement and work directly with community-based organizations and agency partners to determine what the bureau should focus on for improving 82nd Avenue long-term.
Throughout the planning process, PBOT will be working closely with the 82nd Avenue Coalition. Convened by Oregon Walks, Verde, Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO), and Unite, this coalition is made up of people and organizations that live, work, and play along 82nd Avenue.

Timeline
Project planning for Future Investments is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Projects will then move into the design phase from 2024 to 2026. Construction is expected to begin in 2026.
