About the 122nd Avenue Plan online open house
Since 2018, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has been developing a comprehensive plan for how to improve safety, access, and transit along 122nd Avenue between NE Marine Drive and SE Foster Road.
The goals of the plan are to increase safety for all, improve pedestrian and bicycle access, and support better transit while balancing needs of freight and other modes. Additionally, the plan aims to identify improvements to help eliminate serious injuries and fatalities and remove 122nd Avenue from our list of High Crash Corridors, the network of our most dangerous streets identified by our Vision Zero work.
To meet these goals, the plan recommends changes to crossings, intersections, signals, and lightning. It also recommends upgrades to meet ADA standards as well as various improvements to make the road safer for people taking transit or biking.
