The NE 122nd Ave Crossings project will provide four new and/or improved crossings to help meet crosswalk spacing guidelines and improve safety and access along NE 122nd Avenue.

Project Background

A high crash corridor, NE 122nd Avenue currently has long distances between safe pedestrian crossings. PBOT has received $6.4 million from Metro through the Regional Flexible Funding Allocation (RFFA) program.  Construction is planned for 2026. Locations were selected based on public feedback and staff analysis from PBOT's comprehensive 122nd Avenue corridor plan and include crossings at or near:

  • NE Beech St
  • NE Russell St
  • NE Broadway St
  • NE Multnomah St
