Block Parties are a fun and easy way to build community and get to know your neighbors. Gather your neighbors to hold a Block Party in your street or turn the street over to the kids for play. With this free permit, you can host your event on your neighborhood street!

Application takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

The Block Party program is intended for neighborhood-scale gatherings. Street closures are limited to 8 hours per week (not to exceed 8 hours total within 7 consecutive days) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Permits are free.Applications must be submitted 15 days before your event.

Block Parties can be up to 2 blocks. Street Painting events can be up to 4 blocks. A street closure of more than 1 block requires a custom traffic control plan.
