These agreements are intended to be long-term.
Plan your project
Stewardship projects are typically permitted on roundabouts, medians and other overlooked public spaces. As a community partner, you will maintain the adopted space. Some community partners have added perennials, bulbs, and native plants.
Think about your location:
- What do you envision with this space?
- Maintenance only?
- Additional native plants?
- Perennials and bulbs?
- Who will be involved?
Check your location
Contact Dana Dister with your potential location. A simple map, address, and/or cross streets are helpful bits of information to share. You can reach them by email, phone or in person at the Portland Building Customer Service Center.
Gather neighbor support
These spaces are intended to be by and for the community that surrounds them. Please work with your community to develop relationships and partnerships.
