Matt Berkow (PBOT)
Mathew Berkow is managing this project, which endeavors to create a citywide framework to address the multiple and growing demands for limited space in Portland’s public rights of way. Since the completion of the first phase of the project, Matt has been working to develop both an on-line tool as well as clearer guidance on how to balance the needs of existing city policies. Streets 2035 is now called StreetsPDX
7:05-7:30 – ADA Title II Transition Plan Annual Report (25 min)

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires state and local governments (with 50 or more staff) to develop a transition plan to make the right-of-way accessible to people with disabilities. Portland’s transition plan was updated in 2021 and last March PBOT released the 2022 Annual Report on the plan’s implementation. PBOT Accessibility Coordinator Lisa Strader will provide some background about the transition plan, walk through the report, and allow time for committee members to ask questions.

TriMet staff will give an update on the current design for the Hollywood Transit Center project, including the stairs/ramp, plaza, and on-street bus stops.
