6:30-7:00 – E-Scooter Update and Request for Proposals (30 min)
Jacob Sherman, E-Scooter Program Manager
PBOT’s Jacob Sherman will provide an update on the E-Scooter program, including the request for proposals to companies to shift from a dockless model to a “lock to” system that requires scooters to be parked and locked to bike racks and other stationary poles. In addition to a “lock-to” system, the e-scooter RFP will require geofencing and speed governing technology (which can use technology to reduce the speeds of scooters in some locations) and will score companies on their sidewalk safety solutions.
