Latest Updates
- Several utility relocations are taking place this month before sidewalk construction begins.
- NW Natural will relocate a large section of gas line on the southern side of NE Shaver Street between NE 112th and 113th avenues. This will create space for future street trees in the furnishing zone. Expect to see excavation and some vegetation removal as this work takes place. Minimal traffic impacts are expected.
- One power pole on the north side of NE 102nd Avenue and Shaver Street will be moved eastward to create space for new curb ramps at the corner. PBOT Survey crews are on site this week to mark out the new curb line at that location.
- A signed contract with the awarded construction company should be in place by mid-August with construction beginning soon after.
- Once the construction contract is signed there will be more information to share about where and when work will begin along Shaver Street and anticipated traffic impacts. We'll communicate details once we've met with the contractor and know their phasing plan.
