Flanders Crossing Construction Update: Temporary Closure of the I-405 Glisan Offramp

Starting Sunday, July 26, the Glisan offramp of I-405 will be temporarily closed for approximately five weeks and NW 16th Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic.

(July 27, 2020) Crews contracted by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) are proceeding with construction of the Flanders Bridge Crossing. Starting Sunday, July 26, the Glisan offramp of I-405 will be temporarily closed for approximately five weeks and NW 16th Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic, so that the contractor has space to construct the foundation of the bridge. There will be a weekend closure of I-405 this fall. Notice will be given prior to this closure. A temporary fence has been installed on NW Flanders Street from 14th to 15th avenues for construction staging. The staging area will remain closed off for the duration of construction, but businesses on NW Flanders Street remain open and the sidewalk remains accessible.
