On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Portland City Council adopted an ordinance authorizing PBOT to seek construction bids and then enter into a contract with the lowest responsible bidder for constructing the SW Capitol Highway: Multnomah Village - West Portland project. PBOT Project Manager Steve Szigethy provided a ten-minute presentation, and after Council deliberation and questions, the ordinance was adopted 5-0. PBOT anticipates advertising the project in November, with construction starting in late February 2021. A PDF copy of the PowerPoint presentation is linked below.
