What’s happening now?

The project team is completing final design with construction expected in spring/summer 2025.

Project Description

Construct a protected safer shoulder on the north side of Boones Ferry Rd through restriping, concrete curbs, and additional asphalt.

The safe shoulder will be approximately 730 feet in length and 5 feet in width. PBOT will install concrete separators to protect the walkway where possible, while accommodating for driveways and bus stops, approximately 425 feet in length. PBOT decided to update the design after hearing feedback from the Arnold Creek Neighborhood Association to include shoulder widening and extend the path north or SW Orchard Hill Rd.
