What’s happening now?
This project is currently in the design phase.
Project Background
This project contains sidewalk infill along the south side of SE Washington Street from SE 80th Ave to 82nd Ave. Sidewalk will be curb-tight, fitting within existing right-of-way, and project will include closure or reconstruction of several driveways. Project will also likely include a transit platform at 80th Ave, a curb extension at the NE corner of 80th & Washington, and a marked crosswalk at the east leg of 80th & Washington. All elements developed through the Jade/Montavilla Connected Centers project.

Project Funding
This project is funded $600,000 from Fixing Our Streets and $275,000 from Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREEC). The Fixing Our Streets $0.10 per gallon fuel tax was approved by voters in May 2016 and again in May 2020. Due to a settlement with CREEC, PBOT has an agreement to deliver 1,500 ADA-compliant curb ramps per year for 12 years.
