What's happening now?
Starting late August 2025, PBOT will construct 46 corner curb ramps at seven intersections along SE Madison Street between Sixth and 12th avenues. Work will take 4-6 months depending on field and weather conditions.
PBOT will be removing parking and close lanes along SE Madison Street, as needed, with intermittent road closures on side streets to perform the work. There will work on catch basins alongside ADA curb ramp upgrades, so ramp construction may be 2-3 weeks per location. Pedestrian and business access will be maintained during construction.
Project limits (listed alphabetically, not in order of construction):
- SE Sixth Avenue (three corners)
- SE Seventh Avenue (four corners)
- SE Eighth Avenue (four corners)
- SE Ninth Avenue (three corners)
- SE 10th Avenue (three corners)
- SE 11th Avenue (four corners)
- SE 12th Avenue (four corners)
