Project Background

City Council formed the LID on August 19, 2015. The City Engineer approved plans on April 29, 2016. The project advertised for bids on May 2, 2016, and a Notice to Proceed was issued on September 26, 2016. Paving was completed on January 31, 2017.

Project extents include:

  • SE 86th Court from new SE Steele Street to existing SE Steele Street
  • SE 86th Court from existing SE Steele Street to SE Insley Street (pedestrian connection only)
  • New SE Steele Street from SE 85th Avenue to SE 86th Avenue
  • New SE Steele Street from SE 86th Avenue to SE 86th Court

Project Funding

Portland Public Schools is funding this project with overhead costs funded by the Portland Bureau of Transportation and right-of-way donated by Garden Villas Apartments.
