What's Happening Now

North Rivergate Blvd is closed to traffic due to construction. During construction, North Time Oil Road will be used as a detour.  N. Rivergate Blvd will open to traffic the week of August 16.

Project Background

Currently rail operations block N Rivergate Blvd for long time periods causing traffic congestion that affects one of the region’s largest industrial areas. In 2016 the Port of Portland received a grant from the U.S Department of Transportation’s TIGER program to construct an overcrossing on N Rivergate Blvd.

Project Funding

$25.8 Million. In addition to TIGER program funding, the project has also received funding from Metro, the Oregon Department of Transportation, and City of Portland Transportation System Development Charges.
