This Local Improvement District (LID) will construct street, sidewalk, and stormwater improvements, with possible additional utility undergrounding improvements to NE 97th Avenue from E Burnside Street to NE Davis Street, and E Burnside Street from 9400 block to NE 97th Avenue.

Survey is complete, and design is underway. Construction is anticipated in Summer 2022.

Project Background

City Council formed this LID on April 24, 2019. 60% plans are pending in November 2020.

The project scope includes street, sidewalk, and stormwater improvements to the following streets with possible additional utility undergrounding improvements:

  • NE 97th Avenue from E Burnside St to NE Davis Street
  • E Burnside St from 9400 block to NE 97th Avenue

Project Funding

Property owners are providing funding for this project with tax increment financing from the Gateway Urban Renewal Area, transportation system development charge (TSDC) funding and overhead costs funded by the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
