Fremont Improvements: 74th Ave and 77th Ave Crossings

Crews Improved the crossings at NE Fremont at NE 74th Avenue and NE 77th Avenue in the Spring 2025 (77th Avenue is a Neighborhood Greenway). A crosswalk was also removed at 75th Avenue.
Construction occurred Spring 2025, with additional lighting elements anticipated 2026

What’s happening now?

UPDATE: Several project elements were completed in Spring 2025

  • 74th Ave crossings improvement - crosswalk striping.
  • 77th Ave crossings improvement - cross-bikes striping.
  • 75th Ave crossings - striping removal.

PBOTs Signals and Street Lighting team has identified lighting improvements to be done at 74th Avenue and NE Fremont crossing. These are in process with a contractor and will likely be installed 2026. 

Construction Impacts

PBOT worked with local businesses and property owners to mitigate impacts and are thankful for comments and suggestions during the process.

Project Funding

The project total (including TBD lighting) will come in at around $120,000, with funding coming from Safe Routes to School and Vision Zero Programs
