What's happening now?
Speed bump construction activities are complete.
Other neighborhood greenway elements such as painting permanent street markings, sharrows, painting new crosswalks, painting bike boxes, and installing new signage will be completed in January 2025 as weather and staffing allow.
What to expect during construction
- No complete road closures are planned. You may experience minor travel delays through the neighborhood and through our work zones during construction hours. Please observe all traffic control signs and/or directions from flaggers.
- On‐street parking may be temporarily removed in or near work zones during active construction or for traffic control and/or or staging needs. Please observe all on-street parking removal signage. Any vehicles left within the construction zone in a no parking area will be towed at their owner’s expense.
- The contractor will always maintain open access to residences on the greenway, but construction may occasionally/temporarily impact normal use of driveways. Please reach out if you have any special access needs to your residence.
- Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
The project will include:
- Installing speed bumps and wayfinding signage
- Painting sharrows
- Improving visibility as needed at intersections by pulling on-street parking back from corners
- Turning stop signs to favor travel on the neighborhood greenway
- Signage and striping improvements at intersections:
- SE Foster at SE 67th Ave
- SE Harold at 67th Ave
- SE Woodstock Blvd at 67th Ave
- SE Duke St at 67th Ave ---ramp work completed
- SE Flavel at SE 68th Ave
- SE Harney at 72nd Ave
- SE Division at SE 64th Ave is scheduled to be constructed by Trimet at a future date. PBOT staff is providing feedback on designs for an updated crossing at 64th and Division, currently planned to be part of TriMet’s Powell-Division Safety and Access to Transit project. As with most capital projects right now, construction estimates are coming back high and TriMet is looking to fund as much of the Powell-Division Safety and Access to Transit project as it can.
Traffic diversion is not planned on this greenway due to low vehicle volumes.

A note for screen reader users
PBOT understands that the maps above are not screen reader accessible and we are working toward a permanent solution. Due to the complexity of the information the map provides and the currently available map platforms at the city, we ask for your patience while we work on a technology-based solution. As we work toward providing that level of accessibility, please contact elisabeth.rickles@portlandorego… to reach PBOT staff who can assist you to get the data you need from the map. You can also contact PBOT’s ADA Coordinator at Lisa.Strader@portlandoregon.gov or at 503-823-5703. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
