Traffic Advisory: Construction begins tomorrow on three more passenger loading zones on SW Broadway

Passenger loading will be more accessible and comfortable on SW Broadway at Salmon, Columbia, and Oak streets
Construction is anticipated to last through March 13, 2024, with final striping occurring later in spring 2024.

The project will make passenger loading more accessible and comfortable at SW Broadway and Main Street and complement the new protected bike lane

News Release: Construction begins next week on the SW Broadway Bike Improvements project, interim improvements on SW Main Street 

The project will complete a comfortable, safe southbound bicycle connection from the Broadway Bridge to I-405. 
Construction will continue through September and include intermittent lane closures, parking restrictions and traffic delays.

Pickup/drop-off zones, protected bike lane coming to SW Broadway in summer 2022

This summer, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will begin converting existing Hotel Zones along SW Broadway to three-minute pickup/drop-off zones.
