Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty alongside city, community, and business leaders cut the ribbon this morning on the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s Better Naito Forever project, the permanent version of Better Naito, the protected space for people walking and biking to and along Waterfront Park.
Work on two-way bikeway continues, will open for people biking mid-February
All traffic on SW Naito Parkway between SW Harrison and SW Jefferson will be detoured between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Through June 14, the eastbound Hawthorne Bridge ramp from northbound Naito Parkway is CLOSED to all users.
Completion of long-awaited improvements will require full and partial closures of the Hawthorne Bridge this May
