Apply to paint your curb for added driveway clearance

Property owners may apply to the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to paint their own curb for added clearance for their driveway as long as it meets specific city standards. PBOT can also do this work for you, for a fee of $360.

Allow 15-20 minutes to talk with staff. Process typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete.

  1. Gather your information

    Be ready to provide PBOT Parking & Regulatory staff with the following information:

    • your name
    • your property address
    • your daytime phone number
    • your e-mail
    • the property owner's information (if different from you)
    • the width of the driveway and whether it is shared with another property
    • any problems you’re experiencing that have prompted this request
