Paving work begins Monday, Aug. 16 on NE Fremont Street from NE 38th to 21st avenues, as part of the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s (PBOT) ongoing maintenance paving work. The street repairs will continue through the month of September, each weekday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and possibly weekends.

Construction continues on SE Hawthorne Boulevard as the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) completes curb ramp work next week and paving crews work from SE 24th Avenue to César E. Chávez Boulevard.

Starting on June 2nd, contractors working for PBOT will add new curb ramps at the intersection of Hawthorne and César E. Chávez boulevards. Work will require intermittent lane and sidewalks closures.

Today, the Portland Bureau of Transportation and River View Cemetery announced that the roads through the cemetery will be closed to bicycle traffic from May 28 through May 31. The closure will allow mourners to peacefully observe Memorial Day.
