The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is lowering the cost to park for individuals working swing shift and/or evening schedules in downtown Portland. Beginning Sept. 1, 2025, the SmartPark Swing Shift Parking Permit will be available to anyone working late or through the evening for $36 a month. Individuals may apply for a parking permit for one of the five public SmartPark garages. The permits are valid between 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily. Individuals parking outside these hours will pay the standard hourly parking rate.

Employees may apply for a SmartPark Swing Shift Parking Permit by contacting the SmartPark team at SmartParkMonthly@spplus.com or by calling (503) 790-9302, option 1.

The monthly permit offers a low-cost option for evening   shift workers while leaving readily accessible on-street parking spaces available for customers and visitors.
