The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will conduct expansion joint repairs and replacements on the NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard overpass over I-84 on Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12 from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

(Oct. 8, 2025) The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will conduct expansion joint repairs and replacements on the NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard overpass over I-84 on Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12 from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
During construction, the two westernmost lanes from NE Lloyd Boulevard to NE Everett Street will be closed to all motor vehicles. Steel plates will be installed at the end of each workday to allow access for motorists outside of work hours. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists during repairs.
The traveling public is advised to expect delays, travel cautiously, and use alternate routes if possible.
As always, please keep our crews safe by following all traffic control signs and flaggers while travelling through or near work zones.
