(April 24, 2023) The City of Portland’s contractor Landis & Landis Construction, LLC will be reconstructing and paving SW Dolph Court and SW Alice Street east of Capitol Highway from Tuesday, April 25 through Friday, April 28. Road closures are required during the work.

People driving will be restricted from traveling through SW Dolph Court and SW Alice Street between SW Capitol Highway and SW 36th Avenue from 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25 until 6 p.m. on Friday April 28.

The contractor will maintain access to local driveways for pedestrians and people biking and driving, but no through traffic will be allowed. SW Alice Street will reopen each evening during non-work hours, while SW Dolph Court will remain closed at night.

The work is part of the SW Capitol Highway: Multnomah Village – West Portland project, which will improve safety and mobility for all modes of travel while improving stormwater management, protecting water quality in local streams, and updating water supply infrastructure to meet modern demands. Portland’s Bureau of Transportation, Bureau of Environmental Services, and Water Bureau are working on the project together to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service delivery to the Portland community. The project is scheduled for substantial completion in June.

We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe all lane closures and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

Additional information about this project is available online at www.portland.gov/transportation/capitolhwy. This work is weather dependent and the schedule may change.
