(Nov. 5, 2021) – Beginning Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12, the Portland Terminal Railway Company and the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will be completing street and railway repairs on NW 9th Avenue between NW Overton Street and NW Naito Parkway.
The repair work will require a full closure of the crossing and the street will be closed to all modes of traffic at all hours and on all days. Rail repairs will be conducted by noise permit on the nights of Nov. 8 and 9 between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe all lane closures and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible. Crossing the rail tracks at this location during this repair project is forbidden for the safety of all travelers. Rail crossing arms may not be operational during the work and active trains will still be running through the area.
