(Jan. 21, 2021) The first in a series of improvements coming to SE Hawthorne Boulevard this year begins today, Thursday, Jan. 21, when crews begin installing and updating approximately 180 curb ramps between SE 24th and SE 50th avenues along the High Crash Corridor. Crews will begin updating ramps at SE 24th Avenue and work their way eastward. Construction will occur weekdays from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. for the next six months, with an estimated completion date of June 2021. These updates will make accessing shops, restaurants and residences along SE Hawthorne Boulevard easier and safer for all Portlanders.
