(Dec. 22, 2020) – The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that SE Barbara Welch Road is closed between SE Foster Road and SE Duke Street because of a landslide that sent debris into the roadway.

Crews have inspected the site. Debris removal will take place over the next two to three days.

People traveling to neighborhoods south of Foster Road are urged to use SE 134th Avenue, SE 162nd Avenue, and SE Clatsop Street.

The news media and the public should stay away from the area. Do not walk, bike, or drive past "street closed" signs. We ask travelers to observe all street closures and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and use alternate routes. Be safe, take it slow and travel with care.
