Image removed.(Sept. 21, 2018) Due to an internal miscommunication, Better Naito was removed a day earlier than scheduled. Portland Bureau of Transportation flaggers have been stationed on both ends of the installation to inform people walking and biking of the unexpected closure. In addition, signage is being installed along the corridor to inform travelers of the traffic change, including “Better Naito Closed”, “Use Ped Crossing” and “Wrong Way” signs.

The bureau apologizes for this inconvenience and appreciates the public’s understanding. We know many Portlanders rely on Better Naito daily and are pursuing funding to make the multi-use path a permanent, year-round facility.
