Information about ODOT's I-84/I-5 improvements

Starting Sunday, July 8th at 10 p.m., the Oregon Department of Transportation will close the ramp that connects I-5 southbound to I-84 eastbound. The ramp will remain closed through 5 a.m. Monday, July 23. ODOT forecasts significant delays on area highways. The congestion will likely spill over to city streets.

City streets, even in the grid pattern that Portland is famous for, were not built to handle the volumes of traffic that these closures will bring.
