(Feb. 12, 2016) – The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that a private contractor’s permitted work using a large crane will require lane closures on SW Naito Parkway starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 13 through Sunday afternoon, Feb. 14. The lanes will be closed overnight and are scheduled to be reopened at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Southbound travel lanes on Naito Parkway will be closed from Southwest Market Street to Southwest Harrison Street. One northbound travel lane will be open at all times, but one northbound lane will be closed from SW Lincoln to SW Market. No northbound turns will be affected.

The traveling public is advised to expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.

Access to Mercedes-Benz of Portland and the parking garage for Harrison Square office building will be maintained at all times. Flaggers will be present to assist traffic in and out of these facilities.

The closure is to allow access for Campbell Crane to use a mobile crane to lift HVAC equipment needed for the Harrison Square office building.

Southbound traffic will have two posted detours. Southbound motorists going to Interstate 5 will still have two left turn lanes at Market to turn left onto SW Harbor Drive and continue to I-5.

Southbound motorists continuing on Naito Parkway will be directed to turn west onto SW Clay, then south onto SW First Avenue, then east onto SW Harrison Street, then return to SW Naito Parkway.

We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe all lane closures and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.
