As part of the 2019-20 E-Scooter Pilot Program, scooter companies are required to offer discounted pricing for Portlanders living on low incomes. This page contains information about each company’s discounted pricing plan and how to apply.

Lime Access (green scooters) 

Who qualifies?
Users who demonstrate eligibility for or participate in the following programs, but not limited to:

  • SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
  • Medicaid
  • Reduced-rate utility bill
  • Free or reduced school lunch program (NSLP)
  • Trimet Honored Citizen pass holders
  • Social security supplemental income
  • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Subsidized housing

Price
$0.50 to unlock and ride for $0.07 per minute.

All rides in East Portland are $1.00 to unlock and ride for $0.20 per minute.


Spin (orange scooters)  

Who qualifies?
Users who make less than double the federal poverty level for their household size or participate in the following programs, but not limited to:  

  • Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid
  • SNAP: EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) Card
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Free & Reduced Price Lunch
  • HUD Housing Choice Voucher
  • LIHEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program)
  • Employment Related Day Care
  • Women Infants and Children (WIC)
  • Trimet Honored Citizen pass holders

$0.50 to unlock and ride for $0.07 per minute.
