The Portland Bureau of Transportation's (PBOT) Northwest in Motion Plan represents over two years of analysis, community outreach, and problem-solving to improve walking, biking, and public transit in the Northwest District and surrounding area.

NE 42nd Avenue Bridge Replacement (over Lombard Street)

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is constructing a new earthquake-ready bridge to provide better access for freight, pedestrians, and people biking. Bridge will fill the gap between the Holman Neighborhood Greenway and the NE 47th Avenue protected bikeway.

NE 60th Avenue and Halsey Street Area Improvement Project

PBOT will repave sections of street, replace outdated traffic signals, add turning lanes, improve sidewalks, and build pedestrian and crossing enhancements. We aim to improve traffic flow and make the street more safe for people walking, riding transit, biking, and traveling by vehicle.

SE 11th & 12th Ave Improvements (SE Ankeny to SE Clay)

Brentwood-Darlington Crossroads Safety Project: SE Flavel Street at SE 72nd Avenue

This intersection safety project will convert the intersection at SE Flavel Street and SE 72nd Avenue to a four way stop and will add additional illumination to the intersection. The project will also update corner ramps to current ADA standards and improve poor pavement conditions.

SE Division Street Repaving Project
