The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is updating TRN-14.35 (Digital Records Requirements) to include an additional camera system at the recommendation of the Private for-Hire Transportation Advisory Committee. This increases the number of available camera systems that taxi providers can use to ensure they comply with our digital records requirements.

Per TRN 16.01 – Administrative Rules and Procedures, PBOT is publishing the proposed administrative rule for 30 days of public comment. PBOT will be accepting public comment for this Tier 1 update until 5 p.m. on September 6, 2024. Comments on the proposed rule may be submitted to pbotpolicycomments@portlandoregon.gov. All comments received will be reviewed by PBOT staff.
