End of 2025 Season Service Updates
As you may know, Albertina Kerr will be ending its involvement in operating Kerr Bikes to focus on their core services on Sunday September 28th 2025, meaning that Kerr Bikes will no longer be the operator for Adaptive BIKETOWN after 8 years of partnership.
The Adaptive BIKETOWN season typically runs from March to October, so there will be a gap in service for the month of October and during the off-season while we are in the process of selecting a new operator to start in March of 2026. Please reach out to us if you are looking for other resources or information about how to rent adaptive bikes in Portland!
You can still rent adaptive bikes during regular seasonal hours through Sunday September 28th:
Thursdays 11am-5pm
Fridays 11am-5pm
Saturdays 11am-5pm
Sundays 11am-5pm
Mondays 11am-5pm
1945 SE Water Ave., Bldg B
Portland, OR 97214
Check out adaptivebiketown.com for more information on the bikes and services offered.
If you have any questions about Adaptive or want updates as they become available, email sharedmicromobility@portlandoregon.gov.
All adaptive bikes and equipment will be generously donated to the next operator to ensure the program's continued success, and we appreciate your patience as things might be shifting around at the OMSI waterfront location for the next couple of weeks.
Thank you again for your support of this community and interest in the program. We're looking forward to the next version of Adaptive BIKETOWN (Adaptive 2.0), and could not have gotten here without Albertina Kerr, Kerr Bikes, and especially the shop manager – Kristin Miller. Just in the last 4 years alone we have supported over 1,300 adaptive bike rentals through Adaptive BIKETOWN!
Have questions or have feedback on what you want Adaptive 2.0 to look like?
Until the Request for Proposals (RFP) is released to the public, we are able to answer questions directly at: sharedmicromobility@portlandore….
Our team will do our best to answer your questions and record any provided feedback.
