Safer Busy Streets (6:10-6:30)
Michelle Marx, Portland’s Pedestrian Coordinator, will discuss Portland’s Safer Busy Street program as a response to the COVID pandemic as part of the City’s Safe Streets Initiative. The intent of the Safer Busy Streets program is to modify busy streets with busy sidewalks in order to provide more space and make it easier for people to walk six feet apart. Michelle will discuss the targeted roadways, initial rollout and challenges.

Gabe Graff, project lead for Portland’s Central City in Motion Plan and project manager for the SW 4th Avenue Project will discuss the project with the committee.
