Introductions/Announcements (6:00-6:10)

Commissioner Chloe Eudaly (6:10-6:30)

Commissioner Eudaly will share with the committee her thoughts about how to continue to advance bicycle transportation in the city. She will bring to the table the perspective of a city leader who has initiated a transformative effort (Rose Lanes), opposed a huge regional project (Rose Quarter), and overseen the development of more than 50 miles of bikeways, including 12 miles of protected lanes, 18 miles of neighborhood greenways, 15 miles of buffered lanes.

Bikeway Network Completion Program 2021-22 (6:30-7:20)

Portland’s “quick build” program will be entering its fourth year. The first year (FY 2018-19) built five capitol bicycle network completion projects and developed plans for two more. Funding for the 2nd and 3rd years (FY 2019-20 and 2020-21) were largely dedicated to the city’s COVID response for transportation (Slow Streets, Safer Busy Streets, Healthier Businesses). Roger Geller will present a list of projects being considered for next year’s quick build program for feedback from the Committee.
