A new election system and form of government will take shape in Portland, with voters approving changes to the city's charter. Learn about the transition to ranked-choice voting, a 12-member city council elected by district, and a mayor elected citywide to oversee services with a city administrator.

Code changes are necessary to align procedures with the voter-approved Charter amendments.

Community Info Session on Draft Recommendation for City Organization

Join City of Portland CAO Mike Jordan and the Charter Transition Team as they explain the draft reporting structure going before City Council for approval in October. There will be an opportunity for a moderated Q&A.
