What is the plan for reporting election results?

Preliminary election results will be available at 8 p.m. on Election Day. We expect Dec. 2, 2024 to be the deadline for county certification and then the City of Portland will have 12 days after that to certify the results with Council and report the results of the election.

How many candidates can you rank?

Voters will be limited to ranking up to six total candidates, including any write-in candidate(s). For example, if 10 candidates are listed for a position, a voter would be able to choose their top six candidates and rank those candidates by preference. The remaining four candidates would be unable to be ranked by the voter.
