Promote your workplace's commitment to sustainability and the community by becoming Sustainability at Work certified. Certification is free for all businesses, nonprofits, and government workplaces located in Multnomah County, within Portland City limits.

Submit your application
A Sustainability at Work adviser will contact you within two business days of receiving your application to schedule a one-hour site visit.
The adviser will review the completed application with you and may ask for evidence or documentation of practices they cannot see on site.
Once we've verified your level of certification, we will send you a digital icon for your website, a window cling for your front door, and a certificate or plaque to display in your workplace.
We will also create a listing for your organization in our green business directory.
Your certification lasts for three years. At the end of that period, your business will need to submit a new application and meet the latest program standards for renewal.
