Transportation Projects & Programs
BIKETOWN- BIKETOWN is Portland's bike share program with 1,500 bikes at over 180 stations across downtown and several neighborhoods. The system is designed for quick trips with convenience in mind, and it’s a fun and affordable way to get around.
Blumenauer Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge - The Blumenauer Bridge will serve as a vital connection for pedestrians and people biking between two of Portland’s fastest growing neighborhoods—Lloyd and the Central Eastside—and beyond. In the future it will also serve as an important link in Portland’s Green Loop.
Bob Stacey Crossing - East of the Clinton St. / SE 12th Ave MAX Station, provides pedestrian and bike crossing above the MAX Orange Line and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
Flanders Crossing Bike and Pedestrian Bridge - Coupled with the Flanders Neighborhood Greenway -- a low-stress, east-west biking and pedestrian connection across Northwest Portland, the Pearl, Old Town, and into downtown Portland -- it is easier than ever to get where you need to go by walking, biking, rolling, strolling, or taking public transit.
Healthy Business Permits & Plazas - We're setting aside street space for gathering, playing and chowing down without the need to make a purchase from a private business. All are welcome! Check out the latest list of Portland Public Plazas and check back regularly--we're adding more all the time!
Lloyd to Woodlawn Neighborhood Greenway on NE 9th Ave - The Lloyd to Woodlawn Neighborhood Greenway Project will expand the citywide low-stress walking and bicycling network in Northeast Portland by creating a safe and pleasant place to walk or bike to employment centers, neighborhood destinations, schools, and nearby parks.
North Greeley Multi-Use Path & paving project- The N Greeley Multi-Use Path is a two-way, one-mile path on the east side of N Greeley Avenue from N Going Street to N Interstate Avenue. The two-way bicycle and pedestrian facility is protected from vehicle traffic with continuous concrete barriers. N Greeley Avenue has also been repaved.
North Portland in Motion - Learn more about this upcoming planning effort to identify transportation needs and near-term investments to improve access to community destinations and support walking, biking, and transit use in the North Portland peninsula. Southwest in Motion
For this session, we will meet Senior Transportation Planner Nick Falbo as he provides an introduction to the Southwest in Motion Plan. Southwest In Motion is a short-term prioritization, refinement, and implementation strategy for planned active transportation investments in Southwest Portland. The final plan identifies a realistic short-term action plan that provides basic walking and bicycling connectivity where they are needed most. (Aired 9/17/21)

Regional Trails with Metro
Regional Trails are safe, family friendly, car free places to explore on bike or on foot. Did you know that there are over 50 regional trails in the greater Portland region? Join Metro Regional Trails Planner Robert Spurlock to learn about some of his favorite trails. Robert will talk about recent and upcoming trail projects happening in every corner of the metro area.

The Green Loop
Take time to meet Senior Transportation Planner Nick Falbo as he provides an introduction to the upcoming Green Loop Project. A bold new concept of the Central City 2035 Plan, the Green Loop will be a six-mile linear park that connects people through the heart of the city, improving access to and linking regional attractions, cultural institutions, employment centers, and shopping districts. The Green Loop will connect to places within and beyond Portland's downtown neighborhoods and the Willamette River.

Transportation Wallet for Parking Districts
The Transportation Wallet in Parking Districts is a program that leverages parking permit surcharge fees to offset the cost of rides and credits for use on TriMet, Portland Streetcar, BIKETOWN, and Lime, Bird, and Spin e-scooter companies. This bundled package, known as a Transportation Wallet, is one of PBOT’s strategies to manage parking demand in two densely populated neighborhoods while increasing use of transportation options other than driving alone.
