The Northeast Cully event was full of fun. Next stop: East Portland on July 27!
An estimated 26,000 people turned a sunny Sunday into a celebration of community at theNortheast Cully Sunday Parkways event on June 29 while enjoying open streets to walk, bike, roll, and play.
From kids riding a bike for the first time to neighbors dancing to live music, every section of the route was filled with connection and joy. But none of it would have been possible without the dedicated volunteers, talented performers, local vendors, generous sponsors, and neighborhood partners who brought their time, energy, and heart to the event.
Sunday Parkways Presented By Kaiser Permanente isn’t just about closing streets to cars—it’s about opening them up to possibility. Thank you for helping us make the magic happen in the NE Cully neighborhood!
Next up: Sunday Parkways returns to East Portland!

Portland adjusts parking rates and hours
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has updated on-street and public garage parking rates for the new fiscal year across the city’s five parking districts - Downtown, Northwest, Lloyd, Marquam Hill, and the Central Eastside – following City Council approval as part of the 2025-2026 city budget. Parking data shows that there is rising demand for space across the city as vibrant events, shopping, and dining continue to grow and expand across Portland. The cost of on-street parking in Portland remains substantially lower than most major west coast cities.
