Join Jamie Minkus for his Sunday Parkways Fitness Takeover!
Welcome to the rich world of Bloco Afro! Bloco Afro is a dance and social/political movement originating in Salvador Bahia Brazil. It is traditionally danced alongside “Bateria’s” or “Blocos;” musical groups of dozens of people led by the invigorating sound of percussive instruments. In this all-levels dance class series we will dive into the movements, sounds, and history of Bloco Afro and its infectious grooves. All you will need is your energy and some room to explore.
