Slapstick Basics with a Pro Comedian hosted by Phame

Community Event

Laura Loy teaches Physical Comedy on her computer - in this photo she has her head cocked with a funny expression in front of a Mac computer

In this master-class style workshop, you'll learn the basics of physical comedy and slapstick humor. By this end of the class, you’ll be ready to show off some hilarious Marx Bros. style moves.

We’ll do a grounding warm up and then things get silly when we learn how to safely perform comedic slips, trips, and other classics of physical comedy.

Then I’ll coach you in creating your own routine, so you can show off your tricks.

At the end, you’ll be able to pepper me with questions about comedy and  life as a international touring artist, and I’ll offer you my best advice and perhaps a few tales from backstage.

When is the next the Class?

Performing on Tuesday, July 14th at 11 am on the Portland Sunday Parkways Facebook Page.
