City Shelter Services

Project

City Shelter Services provide an entry point for Portlanders moving from life on the streets to more stability and housing, with services including case management, mental and behavioral health support. We support Alternative Shelters, Overnight Shelters, Day Centers, and outreach.

City will open 280 recovery-oriented overnight shelter beds

As winter approaches, Portland is stepping up its shelter capacity, adding shelter for people in recovery. These shelters will bring the total to 1090 beds added since Jan 1, 2025, to serve homeless people in Portland.
