Mayor Ted Wheeler created Portland Solutions, formally established July 1 2024, to create a centralized program hub to address our community’s most pressing homelessness and livability challenges.
Portland Solutions combines several popular programs created by Mayor Ted Wheeler's office, including the City Shelter Services team which manages the approximately 700 City-run shelter beds, the Street Services Coordination Center, the Impact Reduction Program, and the Public Environment Management Office. By organizing these important programs into one team, we will ensure their continued operation into the future and improve our ability to respond to Portland's top issues.
