As part of our program policies all gardeners must contribute and log a minimum of 6 hours per year in service to your community garden. Three hours must be completed by June 30, and a total of 6 hours must be completed by October 31.

All plots are offered on a sliding scale. We offer up to 90% assistance to gardeners. The discount amount is selected by the gardener based on their need. Plot fees are for the garden season which runs November 1 - October 31 each year.
Portland's community gardens are vibrant spaces that reflect the diversity of the neighborhoods in which they are located. As a member of the community, each gardener shall follow the garden policies that layout best practices for gardening in a shared space on public land.
